1973 Omega Speedmaster 125 Reference 178002/3780801 - HODINKEE Shop. Why This Watch Matters The Speedmaster 125 celebrated Omega’s 125th anniversary in 1973 with its own caliber 1041, a Lemania-based .
I am trying out my MP5-SD clone (TPM build gun with TPM suppressor) and I want to make sure that I do not get a baffle strike since I am fairly new to suppressors. I inspected the gun and suppressor and everything looks fine, but is there anything else I need to do to make sure I don't do something dumb, as in something a newbie would not think of?
There's porting on MP5SD barrels that are meant to bleed off gasses reducing supersonic speed ammo to subsonic. The suppressor has an initial chamber that collects the bleeded off gases, then the bullet passes through a series of baffles like you would find in your Octane. I got an Omega, and my faux suppressor I got from TitleIIArms.
Assembling the gun was a non-event, and really the only thing you need to know, is if your MP5 clone is "clipped and pinned", or "push pin housing". For an excellent explanation on that, read this article. The omega OM9FS upper is "clipped and pinned", so I purchased compatible parts for that style.
I have a friend with two omega mp5 clones om9-fs and om9-rs. Both run 100% he into them both 00 ea. He has offered me either if I'm I to it. Im leaning towards the full size rather than reverse stretch but I have questions. We both know I can get a MKE ap5 or maybe even a POF for just over 00 at the moment.
I usually shoot with a glove close by or on one hand so I can make sure the can is on tight while it’s slap yo mama hot. I’ve had 2 baffle strikes this way (although 1 was because sand got in the threads and tricked me into thinking it was screwed down tight when it wasn’t)I'm pretty sure this is the correct advice for 3lug. The thread protector is part of how the suppressor indexes to the mount and not having it could risk baffle strikes. These MP5 clones are faithful to the MP5 design, while also offering more modern MP5 experiences. 5. Most Modern Clone – PTR 9CT I've been looking into getting a MP5 clone and came across Omega on Atlantic firearms. From what I can tell they are built well but I can't find any.
Don't have an alignment rod but used a cleaning rod and it looks concentric with the bore. When installed in the gun the suppressor has no wobble and is properly threaded to the barrel. Is there a baffle strike risk after doing all of this? TPM Suppressor made a few years ago if that helps. Have had no issues until today.
