A no-date Sub is at this point an acquired purist's taste and if your just wanting a watch, date all the way. Date is much harder to get than the no date which were always unsold in dealers cases until the shortage kicked in, if that tells you anything.

No date all the way. It drove me nuts looking at the sub date and watching the minute and seconds hands dip under the cyclops. The no date is so symmetrical and clean, I love it. Rolex does a great job of creating clean, simple dials like this. I absolutely LOVE the 124060 no date. I think the simplicity and symmetry of the dial really makes it for me. I inquired about the sub no date towards the end of April and had the option of a date v no date by the 5th or May. But the truth is, I absolutely love the Explorer range (1 and II) as well as the Sub (especially the no date). And I feel it would be great to have at least one Rolex in my collection (even if I never buy a second Rolex in my lifetime).
